To wonder why he said that?

Older man down the road to me, barely know him, never spoken, just a brief nod when we see each other if that.
Today he came up to me, looked me right in the eyes and said 'If it's any comfort, I dread seeing you as much as you dread seeing me.' Then walked off.
Aibu to think this was bloody weird?

You can definitely now cross over to avoid him!!

RudsyFarmer · 02/05/2023 11:45

Pmsl. That’s funny.

Having a Dad with dementia, this is the kind of thing he says to people. On the whole people are very understanding and don’t give it another thought.

Real life troll

people like that scare me. Was it busy around when he said that?

PinkRiceKrispies · 02/05/2023 11:48

I just worry that I have been scowling at him without realising but seems a bit strong when we haven't even spoken before.
Good point on the dementia, hadn't thought of that.

No, was just me and him. Nobody else around. He's about early seventies to late seventies. Made me feel I had done something wrong which is crazy because I don't even know the guy.

He's just an arse
he said it when no one was around
and I bet he wouldn't say it to man.
