I hate that DH leaves the kitchen cupboards open.... why?!?!?

Haveallthesongsbeenwritten · 30/04/2023 14:44

my partner leaves his socks always on the floor, never in the bloody basket. Whyyyyyyyyy

Ignorant posters who correct/put people down when their SPaG is poor.

It bothers me that in an age where so many of us are using SM for company/advice etc, this sort of nastiness will end up excluding people and preventing them from joining in.

Imagine being worried that you'll be looked down on or judged, every time you want to join in a conversation online.

Adults with no concept of queueing

YES. And drawers. My long deceased H used to do this all the time and our son age 9 has started doing it. So definitely not learned behaviour - genetic or male????!

Royalbloo · 30/04/2023 15:13

People dropping litter gives me the bloody rage

Mabelface · 30/04/2023 15:42

People in general. 😉

I have never been able to understand adults who do this. Why?? Close the fucking cupboard! I'd be in prison already if my husband did this. I wouldn't be able to cope with it.

Sanctimonious posters.

I do this. I have no idea why. It's not all the time but I did it at work the other day and realised how strange it was. I think it's because I'm so disappointed that it's not dripping with treats I need to get away from them.

BeyondMyWits · 30/04/2023 15:51

Misplaced superiority. I work in a shop and "people" either think you are thick or invisible. You get looked down on sooooo much.

Mine too. Like living with a poltergeist.

DojaPhat · 30/04/2023 15:55

The general public, i.e individual people are fine but as a collective the general public is terrible.

Reasonableadjustments · 30/04/2023 16:00

People who post nasty judgemental thread son mumsnet about why others don't do xyz thing or do abc thing and never take into account that everyone is different.

People who post threads like the above that are a thinly veiled dig at some other group (eg the disabled).

That sounds horrible, Beyond, but for me it's the other way around! I'm really nervous around shop assistants and think they are all sneering at me- particularly where clothes are concerned. Perhaps I'm going into the wrong sort of shops...

Rudeness and ignorance annoy me. There is no excuse for either from anyone. By ignorance in this context I mean behaving in a boorish way - eg not thanking someone, not asking politely, not helping others by eg holding a door when it's the obvious thing to do, barging into people, jumping queues, shouting, treating waiting and retail staff badly, swearing at people etc etc etc.

People noodling along at 40 in a 60.
