Hi I'm wondering if I'm overreacting here. My husband goes out maybe once every 6 weeks. Sometimes more but these would be work related functions. The problem I have is the amount he drinks when he does go out but apparently because he doesn't go out a lot it's ok and he doesn't drink in the house.
Last night he left the house at 2pm and came back around 11 and when I say I could smell the drink off him from the front door I'm not lying. He could barely string a sentence together or walk without stumbling and I asked him to sleep in the spare room which he didn't seem to understand and preceded to head to our bed to fall asleep.
This morning he is up with the children but his one word answers whilst sitting on the couch are driving me mad.
A few months ago we went to stay in a really nice hotel and like that he had too much to drink he got to the room and passed out.
I'm been made feel like a killjoy.
