‘Influencers’ taking newborns on holiday

I’ve noticed a lot of influencers taking their newborn or very tiny babies (under a few months old) on long haul holidays. AIBU to think this is a bit irresponsible? Long aeroplane journeys with all the germs, taking them to a very hot country when they’re so small with such fragile skin, mosquitos…

I can completely understand that sometimes people need to travel with small babies, or having a holiday when the baby is a bit older and more resilient. But it seems a bit irresponsible flying a 1 month old to Abu Dhabi seems selfish to me.

They’re not though, she will be leaving the baby with someone while she gets made up to do photo shoots and staged posts. There will be an agreement of what she does in return for the freebie. Not a relaxing holiday, like the one I’m currently booking for xmas!

I wouldn't take a young baby long haul, it just wouldn't have been enjoyable and I wouldn't have been able to do anything I wanted to. Dubai isn't that long haul but I still wouldn't have done it - but if others want to then I think they're mad, but there are a lot of worse things they could be doing.

Whoever it is will be working a few hours a day and her baby will be well cared for.

I don’t see anything wrong with her working and her baby being 4 months old. Where I live women get 40 days maternity leave then it’s back to work. And it’s some places where it’s even less. They all have to leave their baby with someone as well.

Who is the influencer that has done it? I thought Mollie Mae but her baby was born January so definitely isnt a month old so can't be her

Although to be fair, couldn't really care less how celebs parent, they will ultimately all fuck up like the rest of us do at some point 🤣

Just had a look at Mollie Mae's insta, assuming that's who has annoyed you and she went away for work and didnt take the baby, came home and has had a family holiday.

I dont get it... Do you not take your newborn baby anywhere, for fear of germs?! Because they are everywhere.
Also, being EXPOSED to germs strenghtens your immune system.
Planes are also better than a supermarket.

So, unless you kept your baby in a bubble until they were older, I think you are, once again, just jealous of their holiday.

I took my 8 week old to Japan. Was the easiest trip ever. Not an influencer though.

The OP said she was getting photos done and hair and makeup but it wasnt the same holiday, that's all I was pointing out.

It was two different locations as detailed on her Insta when i had a look.
