Fire pit?

Would I be unreasonable to get a small fire pit for my garden? I love the idea of them but not sure if it would upset the neighbours. I live in a terraced house but the gardens are quite big and I’d put it at the end of the garden away from the houses. We’d probably only use it a couple of times a month but not sure if they are antisocial?

Fire pits are unpleasant to others nearby, but if you re a charming pleasant neighbour, people will probably put up with it. Bonus points if your garden is big away from other people's windows.

Hardly pointless. They provide a heat source so you can continue to use your outdoor space once it's evening.

If you have to pick it up to put it in a fire then you can pick it up and put it in a garden bin . It is anti social on a nice afternoon to be burning damp grass etc , IMO .

We have one, a present for my dh for his 50th. The first time we used it we were covered in smoke and I hated it. But, we have put in a grill on the bottom, an old bbq round metal grill, and now it burns really cleanly. I think as long as it's away from houses, you check no one has washing out, and you use seasoned wood, then I think you'll be ok.

Put on a cardi

Why?

Also, it's not the same at all. A fire pit is a heat source. A cardin will keep my arms and body slightly warmer.

Go inside then.
