Go and post in another topic and stop getting your knickers in a twist about some trivial thing like someone looking at you a bit funny one day or somesuch (did I already say trivial) triviality.

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 16/02/2008 22:49

Actually, I think we should have a "Rhetorical Question" section. Because it seems some folk aren't really asking for opinions.....

ZippiBabes · 16/02/2008 22:50

nan bread you really do hate her that much do you

Sycamoretree · 16/02/2008 22:50

It should be renamed "POOR ME".

ZippiBabes · 16/02/2008 22:51

lol, Sycamore.

Yes, it should be "This annoyed me today and I want to moan about it without getting a reply from some know-it-all shite telling me how I should have reacted"

Not quite as snappy as AIBU though

expatinscotland · 16/02/2008 22:54

it's a website!

arrggghhhh!!!!

Blueskythinker · 16/02/2008 22:55

Too tipsy lazy to search - point me to any other good threads?

Sycamoretree · 16/02/2008 22:56

But I am right that loads of laydeez twist their OP to fit the AIBU starting point, aren't I? Like, when it clearly doesn't....(scurries off to find good example)

mrspnut · 16/02/2008 22:59

Good Lapin - we should start out own support thread, sponsored by someone good like Bombay Sapphire.

For all those that know how to drive correctly and want to tell the rest of you knobbers how it's done.

Oh pants, can't find a great example and got bored looking - here's the best I could do (well, not true, Twiglett had a really good example, but I couldn't do it to her ).

AIBU To expect that when a lift going DOWN reaches the bottom floor, everyone will get out, not give me dirty looks (25 messages)

Blueskythinker · 16/02/2008 23:02

Is it illegal to go trolling and start lots of arguments on AIBU? Lets do it

[Trying to think of troll names]

Sycamoretree · 16/02/2008 23:03

Race you BLUESKYTHINKER.....

mrspnut · 16/02/2008 23:03

Of course you can - I was at the bulmers museum a few days ago, I could have asked for you then.

I've been driving for years but I still know the rules of the road (I did the advanced motorist test not long ago) and so can look smug whilst driving along at 20 mph behind the old dodders that I get near me.

Kindersurpise · 16/02/2008 23:04

lol at the lift. What kind of replies did she get?

Had a quick scan of the AIBU threads, most of them could go elsewhere. You could skim 50% off them if we had an extra "Rant about MIL" section

DarthVader · 16/02/2008 23:06

I really feel the same today. I have PMT and want to shout at all posters on AIBU and say "get a grip! Stop wasting time on trivia! Get some REAL concerns going or just get out and enjoy life a bit, stop wittering on".

Sycamoretree · 16/02/2008 23:08

Kinder - very bored MNetters...

Oh doesn't it piss you off? Do these people own the lift then? People are so sullen and miserable when it would be just as easy to be pleasant. Take no notice, you were being polite.

Trouble is in the UK these days if you smile at people they either think you're crazy or you fancy them. But you have to keep doing it and try and keep manners and pleasantries alive.

Ah, the world of Lift Amateurs. These are people who do one or more of the following:

When calling the lift, press the up and the down buttons
Press the call button repeatedly in the deluded belief that it will make it come more quickly
Get into the lift when it's going down, when they actually want to go up and vice versa
Stand in front of the button panel and when you say "could you press 3 for me please" stare at you like you have two heads

But of these, no. 3 is definitely the worst. The trouble is, it's a vicious circle. The lift is so full of people going up in order go down, that you end up having to get into a lift going down, just so you can go up....

Lift Amateurs. Hate 'em.

Oh I once had an embarrassing lift moment once. Dp and I were getting into a lift at the women's hospital and a man came running up to catch it. I went to press the button that keeps the doors open but somehow pressed the doors shut button. We thought the lift was going up and we were giggling at my stupidity making the poor guy miss the lift the next minute the doors opened and he was on the otherside, the lift hadn't moved anywhere and he must have heard us laughing.

Kindersurpise · 16/02/2008 23:11

You could almost write a dissertation about lifts and etiquette of using one after reading that thread.

expatinscotland · 16/02/2008 23:14

no, bluesky, plenty of that going about!

Trollskythinker · 16/02/2008 23:16

Sorry, I don't know who you are talking to. I am new to this thread (having read all the other AIBU and giving up in boredom or agreement)

expatinscotland · 16/02/2008 23:18

you mo' fo's know i am harsh, mean and snobby.

oh, yes, that, too.

where the fuck is custy, anyhow?

scottishmummy · 16/02/2008 23:20

are ye a radge then or a bampot. dinae worry pass the mad dawg

Sycamoretree · 16/02/2008 23:21

Bluesky - my trolling was shit. I don't have any balls, clearly I was nowhere near contentious enough and everyone is agreeing that I am being reasonable...harumph - I think I'll leave the trolling to the pros...

Kindersurpise · 16/02/2008 23:25

Ha, I laughed at that Sycamore. I wondered if you were trolling or if that was your real opinion, and then everyone was agreeing with you.
