Things you wish you had known

  1. You wish you had known about relationships.
  1. Something you wish your parents had told you.
  1. That you wish you had known in school.
  1. Something that would have made domestic life easier.
  1. I wish I had known that just because you make sacrifices for someone and build them up, it doesn't mean they will do the same for you. Some people are takers.
  1. I wish may parents hadn't sheltered me so excessively. I thought relationships were like in Anne of Green Gables, and that a 'wrongun' would clearly be visible by his 'hate/kill' knuckle tattoos. I didn't realise that a smiling charming man could be a monster.
  1. I wish I had known that your grades had very little to do with real life. Good grades didn't mean you would have a good career. Poor grades were not a death sentence. Real life is all about who you know.
  1. After years of laundry on radiators I got a dryer and a dri buddy. Apart from the dryer obviously drying clothes, the house just looks so much tidier without laundry everywhere, and 'laundry day' can be finished in a few hours, with everything dried and put away. The dri buddy thing you put your clothes on the hanger. You know how they say put your shirt in the bathroom and the steam will iron your clothes (but it never does), this actually does it, and most things don't need ironing after they've been in.
