Spider?

YukoandHiro · 27/04/2023 19:25

Check the bed. Any black dots on the sheet or mattress or frame? Could be bed bugs as they are in a line.

Stressedafff · 27/04/2023 19:26

Oh I fucking hope it’s not bed bugs 🤢
I have got a cellar spider infestation mind

It’s only two bites tho. You need at least three to know if it’s in a line as two dots are always in a line

WhisperingAutistic · 27/04/2023 19:29

How close together are the bites? It's hard to tell on the photo. Could they possibly be from a spider fangs or is it 2 separate bites do you think?

Stressedafff · 27/04/2023 19:31

It looks like 2 seperate bites to me! They’re quite a wide way apart, if that’s off a spider fang I hope I don’t see the fucker cos it’ll be enormous 😭🤣

Spider?

Unless thats a very closely zoomed picture and the bite marks are only a mm or so apart... that is one HELL of a spider.

Flea, mosquito, bedbugs - all these bites will look very similar as its the persons response to the bite that produces that physical appearance.

Stressedafff · 27/04/2023 19:37

I’m just abit neurotic. Most bites are harmless aren’t they?

OP posts:
YukoandHiro · 27/04/2023 19:41

Yes they're harmless but if it's bed bugs or fleas you want to know to start the process of getting rid of the fuckers (which isn't easy)

YourTruthorMine · 27/04/2023 19:42

I think there's been mosquitoes this week, it's very wet out there and we've had a couple of warm days, both myself and DH have been bitten. I have 2 similar bites on my ankle

WhisperingAutistic · 27/04/2023 19:43

If she was crying, could she have caught herself on something? Is she old enough to ask?

Stressedafff · 27/04/2023 19:45

That’s what I was wondering too but they appeared after the crying? So I’ve no idea. I asked her she just said she doesn’t know. I’m on Amazon ordering flea powder and bed bug treatment just incase

will also phone pest control in morning anyway regarding cellar spider issue cos it’s driving me round the bend

Do you have a cat or a dog?

Stressedafff · 27/04/2023 21:12

Nope no animals!

OP posts:
YukoandHiro · 27/04/2023 21:21

If you get pest control in for the spiders they can take a look at your beds to check for visitors!

Offensiveapprently · 27/04/2023 21:21

A baby vampire?

Offensiveapprently · 27/04/2023 21:23

@YukoandHiro people would not visit to exterminate spiders 🙄

Stressedafff · 27/04/2023 22:27

@Offensiveapprently apparently rentokil do! But I will find out tomorrow cos I’m abit 🤔 on that too

But definitely no baby vampires in here, I had garlic bread for lunch 🤣

Leave the cellar spiders alone, they are totally harmless and just creepy spindley little fuckers but...

They are also cannibals, they will eat one another IF there isn't enough other food around.

If you have a big population of them, that means there is other food around and one of their favourite foods is ... big hairy house spiders. Yes, astonishingly they are excellent predators of big hairy house spiders (also lots of other spider species).

So decimating them means you'll increase the presence of house spiders, who are much better at hiding away from any of the nasty chemicals a pest controller will fleece you for than cellar spiders are.

Stressedafff · 28/04/2023 00:29

@AppallinglyReheated everyones said this but I’m at the point it’s a full blown infestation, they’re in my drawers, in my wardrobe, in my kitchen cupboards they’re absolutely everywhere!

This has actually blown my mind, how have I never realised this

Twilight7777 · 28/04/2023 00:38

It’s probably some sort of bug that is attracted to puddles, I get them if I’m out in the rain or after it’s rained

Haha, it did me too.
