Just been in to town. First a lovely young girl opened door for me (I had ds in pushchair). Then a very kind boy held the lift for me.

What lovely people, they warmed my entire afternoon. I was careful to thank them as well. Good manners are always to be appreciated.

Well my three are lovely - especially in public.

We hear far too much about unruly teens and not so much about the lovely things they do.

My dd and her friends are all very polite .Most of the teens I know are fab.

Of course they aren't all illmannered little thugs...some are...but then, well, I know as many grown up thugs as I do teenage ones, lol...
It can't be easy to be a Teenager nowadays...

Many are lovely, and many who wear hoodies are even lovely

All the volunteers who help out the local SN swimming group are teenagers doing it off their own bat. HArdly the epitome of evil, eh?

Sometimes the world seems so down on teens- but isn't everyone a teen at one point? or is there this amgic virtuous lot who skip it? Heck, I thnk I was a 'typical teen' for about 2 decades LOL

A couple of weeks ago I was walking back home with ds, in a hurry as I had a couple of heavy shopping bags. Gang of about 15 young teenagers in front of us, walking along very slowly, a couple on bikes. Mobile phones blaring out music, completely blocking the pavement.

Lad at the back on his bike turns around and sees us. He then rather loudly instructs all his mates to move so we could get by.

Warmed my heart it did, bless 'em. .

indeed Peachy...

I always have to giggle aswell, when I see Goths and Punks...because I went through a stage of that when I was much younger then I am now, lol...and I know I was completely harmless...

No, there's some lovely teenagers out there.

Have spent the week helping out backstage at the local Gang Show and have been surrounded by children and teenagers and their behaviour and performances have been fab. Some of these are young leaders so are not only behaving themselves, but setting an example to the younger folk.

DS1 (not involved) is not bad either for a teenager

there are some wonderful teenagers out there who unfortunately as tarred by the not so wonderful ones.

I have been lucky enough in my former life to be a high school teacher and whilst I saw plenty of the toe rags - they tended to be in the minority ( albeit a very noisy minority)

Most of the teens I know are fab. I do see the bad ones though and it upsets me as people remember them much more than they remember the nice ones.
