Why do I twitch so often?

Nothing painful or anything, but I know some people get the odd eye twitch.

I have a different twitch every single day, usually multiple. Usually in my neck, or my calf, thigh, bicep, lower arm, tummy, feet, anywhere. Sometimes I’ll have recurring ones that last a day or two, in the same place on my bicep. They’re usually tendons and don’t hurt. I have one in my leg while I type this lol.

Again they’re not painful and the GP said it’s probably just electrolytes? But it’s so much more even my boyfriend has commented on how strange they are. I’ve only had one that was super deep and hurt.

what is this??

Grrrr I just copied links for you and MH reloaded again and lost them all.

Anyhow, in short, low magnesium, Low B12 and/or Low Vitamin D can cause twitching.

Maybe look into taking a couple of supplements. I used to twitch in my sleep and wake DH up when I was deficient in B12 & Vitamin D,I have prescription treatments for both, and I take magnesium anyway as it can help with sleeplessness. I don’t twitch anymore.

You need B12

Are you on any medication OP? I'm on gabapentin for TN and it makes me twitch somewhere at random at least once every few minutes.

magnesium supplements can help with twitching muscles.

The B12 thing is interesting, because I was briefly dating an alcoholic and he used to twitch horrendously (massive full body jerks that would wake me out of a deep sleep). I think alcohol abuse causes B12 deficiency IIRC?
