Tidying up after the cleaners

Is this normal?

I have two cleaners come for two hours, so pay for four hours in total.
My house is tidy and everything in its place, I just hate and don’t have time to do mopping, windows, oven etc etc
My parents are staying with us for a short holiday. When we came back today, everything was very clean as always, but their room had the carpet on the bed, pillows on the bed (supposed to be on the floor-it’s my Dds room and she has a little reading corner etc) All clearly been cleaned but things thrown everywhere, we’ve just spent time tidying up

Is this normal?!

We don't have photos of what the rooms looed like initially so I don't know why people keep talking about the cleaners leaving the rooms messier than they found them. As if any cleaner would do that - more exaggeration.

The OP said her Mum was staying and she’d made the bed and the room was tidy. Unless the Op is lying then the room was left much messier.

She said ‘My Mum had made the bed neatly and came back to everything thrown around’ so yes the cleaners did leave the room messier than they found it.

My guess is that they have moved everything to mop the floors with intention of going back to replace it after it had dried but either forgot to return to the room or didn’t have time to wait for the floor to dry

She’s an unreliable narrator it seems to me

So the cleaners have chucked a few things on the bed in order to clean the floor and just forgotten to put them back?

Probably took you more time to type that out then to move it back.

This. And this again.

@Twiglets1 Why am I?

@Twiglets1 Why am I?

You're calling a rug/throw a carpet.
You're claiming it took 15 minutes to take those items off the bed and put them in their rightful place.
You're exaggerating the problem in my opinion.

Delatron · 28/04/2023 17:14

The bottom line is you don’t pay ££ to come back to rooms that are messier than you found them.

@Twiglets1 Why am I?

It took until your third post to mention the only issue.

It didn't take you 15 minutes to tidy up, that's just not true.

@Tomatotomatopotatopotato Which threads are those then?
Why have I been economical with the truth? I haven’t lied about anything though

Christ, you sound like one of my clients that I've just got rid of. You seriously sent a complaint in after ONE bed was left like this ONE time? Clearly they moved everything to hoover and just forgot to put it back! Pathetic
