Any idea what these could be? He's already had chicken pox so definitely not that. Only has them on that one cluster. Not sure if it's a-little dramatic to phone doctors- AIBU?

Some kind of bites, he’s reacting to

I agree with pp, look like bites with a reaction. Have you got any pets? I would go to the pharmacist and ask their advice, they can probably give you some cream.

BarryShitpea · 26/04/2023 17:38

Looks like bites however eldest has now had chicken pox 3 times - confirmed by medics.

strawberryfluff · 26/04/2023 17:39

Oh dear me! Yes phone the doctor or even better get to a pharmacist if they are open. Can he remember being bitten? Did he touch any plants recently?

PinkFootstool · 26/04/2023 17:39

Looks like something been biting him, but can you get to an OOH pharmacist in the next few hours and see if they agree?

strawberryfluff · 26/04/2023 17:40

Has lo been with you all day today and yesterday?

lucie333 · 26/04/2023 17:56

He has been at nursery 9-5, I'll give the dr a phone tomorrow. They feel hard and lumpy, I noticed them yesterday but they just looked like insect bites but they look more angry and sore today

I'd get those seen to tonight. Even if you pop to a pharmacy

PinkFootstool · 26/04/2023 18:01

Have you any antihistamines to give him? Calpol maybe? I wouldn't want them on my leg overnight with nothing to alleviate it.

I'll give him some calpol, he's said they don't hurt so I'm sure it will be fine to wait till tomorrow, no pharmacy are open now in my area

Could you do an e consult?

Skyeheather · 26/04/2023 20:21

I'd go to the pharmacy first thing in the morning and ask if they know what it is. It looks like bites so they'll probably give you antihistamine syrup for any itching and antiseptic cream for the bites.

Does he go to nursery? DS had some bites last year and they sent him home and said he couldn't return until a medical professional had confirmed they weren't contagious. Luckily they accepted the pharmacist's confirmation that it's just insect bites as my GP has a three day wait for a non urgent appointment.
