Cramps after period

I'm 39.

For my last three periods I've noticed that I have had menstrual cramps , for days AFTER my leriod was finished.

This hasn't happened to me before.

My very last period was four days ago.

I have had continual menstrual cramps, for four days now after my period. They are not painful but they feel like muscle contractions over and over. They are noticeable. It is like my womb keeps clenching.

Is this normal? Is this part of getting older and menstrual cycle changing? Has anyone else gone through this

Following. I am the same age and same thing is happening. Although mine aren't just post period, mine are happening on and off throughout the whole month now (mainly on 😕). I am convinced I am perimeno as I have a whole heap of other delights I am noticing / juggling / having to deal with. Currently playing the long game with my GP 😔 as she doesn't believe perimeno happens at our age. So I'm doing what she's told me to do (go back on the pill 😔) but I am no better off and really struggling some days (mentally and physically). Once I've done my 3 months on the pill I'll be back there saying she needs to reassess. One month to go...

I used to only have menstrual cramps until the last day of my period.

Now I am having them for four days after my period. And they are really strong. It s just like the feeling of my womb clenching and contracting over and over. It's strange.

You probably don't want to hear this but I'm 61 and haven't had a period for 8 years and I still get very slight cramps every now and again. No other problems. Hopefully they'll go away for good one day.☹️
