I am well aware that a country who ended up with Truss as PM is in no position to cast the first stone and Americans must vote as they see fit, but am I the only knew who finds the thought of another Biden/Trump face off profoundly depressing?

What planet are you on? How does he look preferable?

Biden is pretty dire and I'm really hoping that he will reconsider standing again, but Trump Round 2 would be an absolute disaster!!

As an American I heartily agree with you. The Founding Fathers disapproved of political parties for just this reason.

If my choices next year are Biden or Trump, I'm leaving the top line blank. Enough is enough with the incompetent, moral reprobates our political parties keep choosing for us.

I agree, @MrsBennetsPoorNerves but Kamala Harris wouldn’t beat Trump so Biden has to stagger on. KH was a disastrous choice for V-P, IMO. Biden needed someone who’d get up to speed quickly and be ready to run in 2024. ☹️
