I'm staring a job share soon
I have job shared before and it was tricky I don't want a repeat experience.
What are people experiences and advice about how to make it work please share

It is going to depend on the job you are doing.

It is customer / patient / pupil / client facing, so you need to be there at different times, and cover all the times between you
or
More project / work based, so it would make more sense to have some over lapping time to collaborate?

Does what Person A has done then influence or even direct what Person B is able to do when they come in ?
or
Is your work something that can be divided up so you are effectively independent of each other, just having divided the workload so between you, you are doing the work of 1FTE, but effectively you have your own clients / accounts / reports or whatever you do ?
