4 day School week

How would this work? Would the days be longer? Students do fewer lessons or longer days?

Would all ppa be on that one day making 4 exhausting full days.

If one day is admin seems to defeat the purpose.
Does anyone know anyone at these schools?

A lot of parents will not like this.

Kids are in 5 days, teachers teach 4 days but not full days as they have 33% PPA, some of which is timetabled to have a full day off timetable, which they may take as WFH.

Teachers work 4 days
children in school 5 days
Extra teachers employed to cover additional lesson

Would that make 4 full 5 lesson days then as that would be draining?

If this was National it would be really expensive also.

PPA is only on one day (for most teachers) anyway so not sure your comment about ‘4 exhausting days’ makes any sense.

it would be no more exhausting than teaching normally for 4 days, then having a day with half teaching half PPA

Primary maybe but secondary our PPAs are sporadic.

I would prefer one free every day than a day of all ppa. My friend has that now by default. He hates it.

I find 5 hours in a row of teenagers arriving and getting settled exhausting;that one free in a day really helps. It makes such a difference.
