Wibu to throw this food away?

Tried a new recipe recently as part of my meal prep for the week, unfortunately it didn't go well!

Resulting food has been sat in the freezer untouched since. I'm undecided whether or not to force myself to eat it because I REALLY hate food waste and feel terribly guilty that this is edible food which will otherwise go in the bin or just chalk it up to experience and bin it.

I struggle with my weight and am making an effort to be much more mindful with my eating, stopping when I am full rather than forcing myself to clear my plate etc so eating it when I really don't like it feels contrary to this idea!

Wibu to just bin it or should I make an effort to eat it anyway? Said food isn't burnt to a crisp/over salted/otherwise ruined just really isn't very nice!

Put it in the food recycling bin

Recycling. or put it out for the birds if suitable.

Bin it. Life is too short to eat food you dislike.

Don’t punish yourself with food you don’t like!

I am fairly zealous about food waste but in these circs would bin it. You don't have to eat food you hate.

What is it and what don't you like about it?

I'd bin it if you don't like it, but if it could potentially be transformed - like if its a chicken curry which is too spicy, adding a tin of tomatoes or yoghurt could improve it?

And if that experiment fails its no more of a waste than if it was binned uneaten.

Add a tablespoon of hot curry powder, that makes everything edible in my book!

The clear your plate/no waste guilt is precisely why a lot of people end up over weight. If you eat it, you will feel unsatisfied and more likely to reach for something else on top to give you the food pleasure feeling. Do yourself a favour and bin it. Then congratulate yourself on not wasting those calories on food you do not enjoy.
