To seriously consider going back to a brick phone

Like a lot of people, I am addicted to my smart phone. I am seriously thinking of going backwards & just having a phone with messages - I think there are some you can get that allow WhatsApp but nothing else.
Anyone else tried this?

A friend bought a proper old Nokia phone 5 yrs ago (replacing her iPhone) and is still very happy with that decision 😳
