Aibu to think the assessment system is a load of rubbish. I've just applied, I'm a student with a DS and pays rents. The assessment takes into account all of your income but only takes into account your rent and one allowance for having a child. It doesn't take into account for gas bills or food which people need. I'm literally just above the threshold. So it deems me ineligible however there's no way I can pay solicitor fees for my ex taking me to court. Its so unfair. I'm stressed. How am I going to afford legal costs.
