To think that Legoland is flippin' hard work?

My charge and I have had a wonderful day today at Legoland - it was SO quiet that we barely queued for anything.

But flip me, I'm knackered!

There’s lots of walking! We went a couple of years ago and are going again next month. Seriously considering hiring one of their pushchairs for my 6 year old as she normally tried to avoid walking anywhere at all costs!

I always thought I should take DS but we never got around to it. Would he like it now that he's 9 and into gaming?

9 is fine, if he's into rides! I took 7 and 4 yo and the 4yo found it a bit too much walking in one day so stayed in the Duplo/ mini city areas. I think there's too much to see in one day if you factor in any kind of queuing time.

The problem is the uphill walk at the end when the kids are exhausted!

It was me that was exhausted!

Shame the train isn't running anymore.

My charge is 9 and he loved it.

However, I would say that Chessington is much more suited to their age. Legoland is aimed at younger kids, I think.

Thanks for the info. Yes I do recall hearing about that uphill walk on the way back to the car park..not much fun for those with younger children and the children themselves.

We often visit Birdland in the Cotswolds as DS is obsessed with penguins. They were on the news recently with their King Penguin 'Spike' who's up for an award! It's great there and brilliant value for money.
