Absolutely starving for some reason tonight so had a huge plate of chips, 2 eggs, beans, brown sauce and a couple of slices of bread and butter to make a chip butty. All washed down with a mug of steaming hot tea.

I know I know very carb heavy, no veg but hell it was bloody delicious.

Yum ❤️

Thescriptures · 17/04/2023 20:31

Sounds good. Just having a chip barm with gravy. Cuppa builders tea too to wash it all down.

FVFrog · 17/04/2023 20:34

No judgement here. I just hoovered up a large plate of leftover takeaway chicken curry with a naan bread whilst sitting on the sofa in front of the telly. Resisted cracking open a beer as it’s a Monday 😁

annonymousmouseinyourhouse · 17/04/2023 20:39

I sounds delicious and something I have myself Grin

So pleased to have found some like minded people. Was preparing to get flamed for daring to have more than half a tin of soup or some of yesterday's left over roast that should feed four fir at least a week 😁

2 slices of bread could feed a hundred mumsnetters for a year Halo

CampervanKween · 17/04/2023 20:47

Yum 😋 chippy tea here as it's a Monday (?) and everyone was fed up having to go back to work and school. Also just discovered a Knobbley Bobbley that had been overlooked in the freezer so I am living the dream.

CampervanKween · 17/04/2023 20:48

Nobbly Bobbly sorry just looked at the wrapper.

I made egg and bacon baps for everyone on the weekend. My BIL didn't want brown sauce.

He's dead to me.

Letspovertyplayagain · 17/04/2023 20:50

Half a portion of uncle Ben's savoury rice, 1/4 tin of meat chili extra spicy. Half a chilli grated over it! Cheesy coslaw. Trying to use my my tins!

I did also give them oranges because I am a bit MN.

Letspovertyplayagain · 17/04/2023 20:51

Plus a whole scallion chopped up!

Letspovertyplayagain · 17/04/2023 20:52

@MrsTerryPratchett I love this, " a bit Mumsnet" but where they organic??? 😏

mummydoris2006 · 17/04/2023 20:53

I go to a 5* AI resort in Turkey on Saturday so said to DH and DD it would be plenty of veg etc this week as next week food is literally available 24 hours a day as are cakes etc. The reality is DD16 had a co-op meal deal and me and DH have just polished off sausage and tinned tomato sandwiches 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh fuck they weren't.

I'll hand back my MN scarf.

dogrilla · 17/04/2023 20:54

If you answered the front door after your meal without hiding in the kitchen that would be even more unmunsnet Grin

pornyshroudofturin · 17/04/2023 20:54

I reckon a slab of vienetta would finish that off nicely

mainsfed · 17/04/2023 20:55

I can’t eat eggs after 12.

But I just spag bol, garlic bread and chips 🤣

JudgeRudy · 17/04/2023 20:55

FurAndFeathers · 17/04/2023 19:42

Beans are a veg 🤷‍♀️

Beans are plant based yes but as pulses they're classed as protien (though they're pretty carby too)

dudsville · 17/04/2023 20:56

@mainsfed , what happens if you eat eggs after midday?

Letspovertyplayagain · 17/04/2023 21:04

This is brilliant 👏 what about a screwball or cider ice lolly..... Revealing my age 😋

Classed as one of your five a day though, so count as a veg in my book 😉
