How do you not spend your Sundays worrying about work Monday?!

So often I find myself on a Sunday worrying about the next working week- how do you manage to make the most of your weekend without worrying?

I've never worried about work. Ever. I go to work, I do my job. I finish. I go home. I do accounts. I love it.

I don't get paid enough to worry and I don't have big responsibilities at work. So I don't.

I dropped Mondays at work

I try to write a to do list on Friday before finishing and any work worries that crop up on a weekend get added to it. That way they're acknowledged but not stuck going round and round my head

I went one better and wrote up the list during the week to complete on Friday ( finish an hour earlier) . Unfortunately every Friday work would come up with new tasks or a new way of doing the old ones so I was still left with unfinished jobs in the new week.
I handed in my notice. I have a minimum wage job to tide me over until something new comes up.

I love my job.

I'm also self-employed so pick my clients and hours - I have nothing to dread about Mondays because I planned it all myself and I turn away any clients who don't fit my business.

Definately worth thinking about going self employed as @coffeecupsandwaxmelts says. Being in complete control of your workload and clients is absolute bliss.

I think it does help the OP to suggest this because it might not be an option she's considered.

I like my job. I seem to be in the fairly unique position of having enough time to do everything I'm supposed to. I usually am prepared for the week's meetings by close of business on Friday.

If I do occasionally think ooh did I do X? I send an email to my work address and then it's out of my head.

I never sleep well Sunday night thinking about getting up at 7 for work. I get up just after 7 regardless so I know I'm being stupid.

I don't dread Mondays, as I really enjoy my job on the whole, but it is my longest day of the week, (split shift so there in the morning, off in the afternoon, and back for the evening) so that aspect of it makes me sigh a little! And I also work Saturdays, so I don't ever get into full relaxation mode to dread going back. If I have a week off though, the thought of going back hits me hard, as I guess I get into a different frame of mind! I look forward to my days off, but I also miss the place when I'm not in, and find myself checking the work Comms, and wondering if I've missed anything important/exciting. If they're short, I'll often offer to go in, and that makes me realise, my job must be more enjoyable than I give it credit for, as it's rarely a chore. If I found myself dreading my job the day before my shift, I'd consider job hunting, as that must be a miserable experience op. Do you enjoy it when you're there, is it just the thought of going in?

I found myself a job that I love, and a boss who treats me with respect, not like a lackey.

Perhaps you need to find a new job?
