Post holiday blues

Been away for a few days over Easter and now feel pretty sad it’s over! Really not looking forward to going back to work, being on holiday made me realise how stressful I normally am with work…. Any tips on how to get over the post holiday
blues?!

Get your next holiday booked.

Plan some nice things in for the weekends (or whenever your days off fall).

Also, look at why you're stressed at work. Some level of stress from time to time is inevitable but if it's affecting you all the time, is there anything you can do to reduce it - can you ask for support? Is it time to think about moving jobs?

Agree with PP. Plan some nice things so you have other things to look forward to. We've just had an amazing two weeks off and back at work next week but we're in London next weekend and the following weekend we are away for the bank holiday so I don't feel as bad about going back to work.

Again, agree with PP, depends on whether your feelings about work are temporary or permanent and whether you need to look elsewhere. I'm not feeling too bad about going back to work as I enjoy my job so you just need to think about whether this is just post holiday blues which will pass or a wider issue.

I think it’s made me realised that I am quite stressed at work because I felt so relaxed not being there! And it’s pressure I put on myself more than the actual job which I know is silly.
