Garden office on the cheap

AIBU to wonder if we can build a garden office that is usable all your round on the cheap? We can not afford 10+K. The max we could spend is 7K all in all including electric and some sort of insulation.

Is this possible? If yes, how?? Dp and are are happy to do all the labour ourselves. including digging the foundation etc.

OP did you end up with any answers to this as we're wondering the same?

Look at pods - they’re around £6K

We bought a nice 8 X 5 shed/ cabin for 2k. Fully insulated it and plywood on all walls and internal roof. Put insulation on floor and wood laminate planks on floor. Got an electrician to put sockets and light in from house along with network cable and with a little oil heater in winter I keep door open a tad as it gets boiling. Love it as a little office very deceptive.

Just to add for foundations we bought old railway sleepers, very solid keeps it off the ground and air underneath so no damp. Will last a lifetime 😁
