To think this not just "harmless" fun.

Well actually I don't think I'm being unreasonable infact I know I'm not.
I'm unable to link but a Dad has gone viral on Tic Tock for teaching his 6 year old son how to egg homes for a prank! I don't think there's anything funny harmless or prankish about it.
In fact I think its intimidating and the epitome of disrespect and bullying behavior. Imagine how terrified someone with severe anxiety or someone elderly would be with their windows getting pelted with eggs. I don't make the Laws so I don't know Legally but in my eyes that is criminal behaviour.
What a terrible example he's setting to his son. It makes you think what's he going to teach his son to do next.!

YANBU

What a complete and utter prick, teaching his child to be a vandal.

Ponoka7 · 13/04/2023 16:44

The kids were I used to live regularly egged houses. I had to leave mine when my CF was at its peak. It isn't a prank, it's criminal damage. With the shops not selling eggs etc to kids the week before mischief night, it was dying out. The likes of this revives it again.

Scum breeds scum

LindseysDoily · 13/04/2023 16:48

Agree. There was a spate of gangs of teens egging houses in my neighbourhood and i was targeted a few times - it was after dark, i was on my own - I’m no wimp but tbh I felt quite scared.

pickledandpuzzled · 13/04/2023 16:52

Damn, where are they getting spare eggs? I may move there.

KimberleyClark · 13/04/2023 16:54

Awful. Terrible waste of food apart from anything else.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 13/04/2023 17:06

Terrible waste of food.

Absolutely, so I take it he's not struggling with the cost of living then!

Would he laugh if someone lay in wait and egged them in return? Or would the "harmless prank" suddenly turn to "assault" if it was turned back on them?!

Lostinalibrary · 13/04/2023 23:16

This has been happening in a near village. One, it’s damaging houses and cars. Two it’s criminal damage and the police have had to start dealing with the youths because people were taking the law into their own hands!

chachachive · 13/04/2023 23:30

It’s so wrong

What a prick.

Exactly. If someone turned a hosepipe on them would he think it so funny then?

We sometimes get idiot youths banging on the front door or living room window late at night. They obviously think it is a great lark but it really makes me jump. Once last year one of them threw an egg at the window. It's not a prank. Someone has to clean that mess up.

If a 6 year old is being taught this by his Dad you can only imagine what a little charmer he will turn in to when he is a teenager. And when his school are having problems with him just how much support will they get from his Dad? Exactly! But any problems he ha later in life no doubt hus parents will blame on someone else the school, society, whatever. Not themselves, oh no.
