Does anyone actually enjoy eating these?

Very trivial but I am curious. I just ordered a falafel from Leon. It was completely ruined by being fully of whole cumin and fenugreek seeds. The texture is so off putting and the flavour is just overwhelming…

AIBU, do people actually like having whole spice seeds in their food?

I’d complain it’s obviously an error. Lucky you didn’t break a tooth. I’d assume faulty spice grinder at the factory.

I am generally disappointed by everything I get from Leon. The menu sounds amazing but the food just doesn’t meet expectation.

That looks like coriander and fennel, not cumin and fenugreek. Plenty of recipes will keep both whole. Personally I like it.

Leon was really nice a couple of years or so ago but I got it for the first time in ages last week and it was disgusting.

They were actually very good on social media. They’ve refunded me (remotely somehow) and emailed me a £7.50 voucher. They didn’t say if this was what it was meant to look like however.

I like them but haven’t tried them from Leon. I also love cumin, it could be one of my food groups, along with chocolate 🤣

Yes, I like whole spices in my food and use whole cumin. I don't like Leon food though. Completely flavourless.

Anything that is inedible / revolting / unspeakable is known as 'a delicacy' and then people magically gobble it up and tell everyone how wonderful it is, daring not to admit that they have been duped.
Whilst those in the catering world have gleefully offloaded a load of awful offal, weird wobbly bits of creatures and the bits that cats leave behind having consumed a mouse or rat.
