To ask for advice re passport office (nice!)

Hi all

I went to the passport office last Thursday to get 5 fast track passports, the man said he absolutely could not charge us the 630 it would cost and put them through as normal price. They’ve arrived this morning with the date issued on the 6th so he would have done them as soon as I left the office.

I wanted to write a thank you card to take it down but I’m worried if he’ll get in trouble for doing such a good deal?

Thanks :)

There are nice people in the world!
You could perhaps just write a thank you card but not specifically mention what for? Or just say thank you so much for your help and we got the passports in time? Maybe don't mention the fees as it could possibly get him in trouble?!

Ah your overthinking this op. Just write something like. Dear postman Thank you for all your expert help to get our passports summer ready. It means a lot . Best wishes Holly and family. Or something like that just a customer saying thank you x

I would word the thank you very generic. Something like you appreciate how seamless he made the application process, say you had been dreading it but he made it so easy for you or something like that. Do not mention undercharging you as I would imagine he could get in trouble for that.

Thank you all. I will do that x
