Someone called you “athletic” looking, and “broad”!?

Not sure how to take it to be honest, is that polite for massive?!

I have an athletic build and a broad back. I wouldn't be offended in the least by that description. It describes my body shape, that I'm happy about, perfectly. I'm tall with broad shoulders, narrower hips, built like a swimmer. I'm definitely not 'massive'!
