Death by toot toot

DD found the toot toot animals at the bottom of the toybox, she has turned them all on and now they are singing all at once. We have chicken, cow, sheep, pig and rhino.

would I be unreasonable to chuck them out the window?

The ambulance. Taught my DD to yell ‘hurry, hurry’ which is really useful.
She also imitates the siren when we displease her, presumably we will soon be arrested for not dispensing custard on demand.
Before we got them, I wondered why they were always so cheap on marketplace

We had a traffic light... It's one of my sleep paralysis demons.

It used to wake me up all the time, nothing had been near it. Unnerving. And when they started to lose batteries, they woulsmy shut up. We had hundreds worth of the stuff!

It absolutely blew my mind, and not in a good way, when I realised the toot toots had the voice of Mr Tumble.

The best one is the vTech toaster, genuinely catchy tunes 'make the most of your toast...with some berry jaaaaaaam'

We had these - designed and made by someone who really really hates parents of small children. I thought they were alright until the day DC1 figured out how to turn them on... Up to that point, I'd bring them all out to play, but only turn 1 or 2 on at a time. When she wanted another on, I'd turn one of the first lot off - it worked well! And because she'd loved it so much, we'd amassed quite a collection of second hand bargains. All going at once was deafening brain-crushing torture. They were all cleaned up and photographed for sale shortly after.
It was a happy day when someone from FB Marketplace came to collect them. I was even honest enough to warn them that their kids would absolutely love it, but this was going to be a purchase they would sorely regret. They still bought the 2 bin bags full and were happy about it 🤷🏼‍♀️😂🎊

My kids are older, so I don't know what they are (although they sound delightful) ;-)
It reminds me of the holiday we had when our youngest (ND) had a new Balamory dvd.. it was only off when he was asleep..

We had the pet hotel and the cat that came with it, so we bought a toot toot dog too, the dalmatian.

"I'll guard this place!" he used to say. But the first time he said it I swear it sounded like "oh god this place!" I was a bit gobsmacked before I realised And that bastarding creepy chuckle it used to do. The cat was ok though.

Ds had a push the button book that played the wheels on the bus. The bastard thing continued to play even when I threw it in the wheelie bin.

I think you have to have toot toot or something equally annoying at some point in your child's life. Just get it from Facebook as then you don't feel so bad when it accidentally on purpose breaks

Not Toot Toot I don’t think but DD had a talking/singing bus which I swear was haunted! We were getting out of the car once & a voice came from the back shelf “ Bye Bye”!

We had the rhino. "I'm a rough and tough rhino, run with me!" Raaaah

My DD has just crawled in with one from the conservatory that I thought I'd hidden well! Oh and managed to turn it on! Why I bought these in the first place I'll never know. The mixture of peppa and toot toot ambulance so early in the morning is a pure delight-not!! 😂😂

@Mamette I was coming here to say the same thing but I was unsure whether it was the fire engine. Used to go off at all hours in the morning and properly shit us all up 🤣 they should make a horror movie with that fire engine.
