We are debating having a third child. I’ve wanted one since DC2 was born over 3 years ago, literally came home from the hospital broody. We can afford it, have enough bedrooms, helpful extended family. My desire is completely irrational, as in, there is no specific reason to want (or need!) to expand our family. But I’m thinking about it non-stop.
On the other hand, we are finally out of the baby years and sleepless nights. I changed job last year and want to get stuck into that role properly. We no longer need to factor in nap time to our schedule. Eldest needs our time and help with homework. Life is getting easier.
No one can tell us what to do, obviously, but has anyone ever ignored their heart / feelings in favour or rationality and regretted it - or not! Not only specific to extra children, but anything in life.
