In my local Co op just now, reached for a pack of mcvities chocolate digestives only to promptly put it back when I saw the price, £3.25???!! Aibu to think this is completely bonkers? I know price of everything has gone up but I don't think I've ever paid more than £1.50 for a pack of these biscuits, this is taking the piss. Also why is Co op so much more expensive than other supermarkets for everything ? It's the only supermarket in my small town so I am stuck with it but it's crazy for pricing.

I think the shrinkflation bothers me more than price rise. Often its both combined. Got some Old Amsterdam cheese at tesco and the wedge was so thin you could cut it in half and get two thick slices out of it.

The big size was £3 in sainsburys the other week - I got their own brand which was 85p and family don't complain... in local sainsburys though a box of fondant fancies was £3.75!

I find Sainsbury's absolutely ridiculous.

It depends how much you like chocolate covered biscuits. They're not very good for you so maybe it's a good thing

Living up to your username there!

According to yesterday’s news about the milk 1l price-drop, all the other big name stores are charging between £1.55 ( most of them) to £1.65 - apart from the Co-op on £1.85. I will say that Coop’s naan bread own brand crisps are delicious and reasonably priced, though ( my only reason for crossing the threshold, given that I’m lucky enough to live somewhere with branches of all the big names so pricing is competitive).
