Ok. So it is Ds Birthday this month. He is turning 16. He is autistic. with anxiety

My sister has asked me for gift ideas. He asked for something she deems inappropriate for his age. Ie, too babyish.

AIBU to be upset that she articulated these feelings. She has 2 kids herself but they are NT.

YANBU. You know him better than her. She's at liberty to buy him whatever she wants, it's her money, but it's daft to ask you and then dismiss your suggestion.

Is she buying for him or herself? It's very kind of her to buy a gift for his birthday but she needs to get over it and buy what he wants or don't bother asking.
