Vodka VS Gin, what do you prefer?

After not having vodka for years and years, we were given a bottle of Grey Goose as a gift and I decided to try it. It's nice and smooth! Nothing like the gross Smirnoff I remember having as a student many moons ago.

Gin is everywhere these days - who still drinks vodka, and which one do you like?

Bison grass or grey goose.

With either cranberry juice or lime and soda.

I also like gin, particularly Japanese gin such as Roku

I love bacardi, but vodka is a decent alternative. I hate gin with a passion.

I love Absolut vodka, or Ciroc.

Can't drink gin, it sends me loopy. I either cry or get fight 😕

I'm also a white rum drinker. Vodka makes me aggressive. My choice would be a triple distilled. I like sloe or plum gin.

I don’t drink either but I could tolerate vodka whereas I can’t stand the smell or taste of gin.

Oh gin for me. Particularly elderflower gin.

Don't like gin , and tonic is even worse. I like grey goose or zubrowka, with soda and lots of fresh lime, I had various flavours of Soplica in Poland and it was pleasantly smooth.
What I really like though is dark or spiced rum. I'm dreading the fact it's becoming the new gin and there will just be dozens of substandard over sweetened varieties in every bar/off licence.
I'm also partial to a good spicy margarita but can't drink tequila shots

I like vodka in cocktails such as martinis.
Gin with lemonade is a regular here

Can’t stand gin. Definitely vodka for me. I can have any brand except grey goose - I find it far too strong that it overpowers the drink even with a mixer

Nothing comes close to Finlandia and Russian Standard for me. Yes, those are vodkas🙂
But I do tend to go for gin & tonic if not with mates to avoid the explanation rounds

I like gin, either a spicy one like Ophir or a nice raspberry blush.

I only ever drink vodka if it's poured over a lemon sorbet.

I much prefer wine.

Gin. It's been my favourite for the last 40 years.

Vodka is useful as a mixer and I can't find anything else to say about it.

Vodka or white rum for me, can't stand gin makes me cry like a baby over nothing and gives me a stinking hangover 😩

Vodka and grapefruit back in the day but then pubs/bars began replacing grapefruit with cranberry. Now it's gin & tonic (without sweeteners) with a few mixed frozen berries thrown in if I'm at home
