My husband has a foot thing. Why is he reluctant to share it?

So some years ago my DH was showing me something on his phone and (embarrassingly for him) a porn search came up for something involving feet. I think it was ‘sexy feet girl’ or something similar. He was clearly embarrassed and we laughed it off. But I did assure him if he had a foot thing that was fine, (far weirder out there.) he categorically denied it & I assumed it was a one off vid that caught his eye.

Well we’re about 5 years on from that incident and I’ve had to use his phone this evening and came across a couple (2) of foot related videos in his search history. I really don’t care… but he never shows interest in my feet during intercourse (🤣).

Do you think his embarrassed? We’re so open and close, I’m struggling to get my head around the secrecy over something so… minor?! AIBU?

I can imagine how some fetishes might be something somebody finds very difficult to share and prefer to keep in their fantasy world

maybe your feet aren’t like the type of feet he likes so it wouldn’t work to act out in real life with you?

he could like super small feet of a size 3 and your a 6. Or big feet of an 8/9 and you’re a 5. Or tanned moisturised feet and yours are pale and dry.

I don’t know but I’m assuming there’s preferences within fetishes?

No one shares everything with anyone, and arguably a wee bit of mystery and distance is no bad thing in a relationship.

I hear you all, I think DH likes my feet! We’ve done role play etc so just confused why he wouldn’t have incorporated this if it’s his thing. It’s really not a big deal, I suppose he might be embarrassed.

Tbh he may just wish to keep it private. I have a thing for a particular public figure - I would never wish to meet him IRL. Or for anyome to know. Gently... he is allowed a fantasy life.

I’ve always loved the idea of a particular thing, but I tried it once with an ex and didn’t like it at all!

I read erotic stories sometimes and the ones I pick usually incorporate that thing, but there’s no way I am telling my partner as I don’t want to try it in real life at all.
