I've been offered a role at BT, 1st line management type of role. I have a pre-existing medical condition that I don't want to disclose just yet. I need to know if their medical insurance covers pre existing conditions.
I've had private medical insurance through work in the past that covered this, even though it was a pre existing condition. I was able to see specialists and get scans/physio quite quickly.
I cannot buy my own medical insurance that covers a pre existing condition. Not at all. So it seems the only way I can get more help and support is to move jobs and get cover that way.
Does anyone work at BT and have their medical cover? Can you tell me more about it? This will be a deciding factor for me on which job I take, as I feel like I really need this. I just waited 7 yrs for an MRI on my back, the diagnosis means there is no further treatment options, just pain management. Im now waiting again for a pain consultant, 5 months so far and no idea when I will see someone.
I've never taken time off work sick btw, but I really need better/faster support than I'm getting on the NHS. My family and quality of life has suffered immensely. I've been disabled by this condition now for 11 years and I'm just so frustrated by everything. Thanks for reading this far.
