Can anyone confirm I've done the right thing please?

My daughter has just shown me some nasty messages on of her friends had sent to another one of her friends. They are 12. The messages weren't nice.

I have contacted the mum of the girl who was sending the mean messages as my daughter says her phone is never checked and the girl deletes her messages.

Now I feel like a bit bad but if I were the mum, I'd want to know. And they weren't nice messages.

Equally I think I shouldn't have got involved....

I should also probably point out that these girls don't know each other well, they don't go to the same school so their parents would not be able to contact one another themselves. Missed that bit.

You did the right thing. I would do exactly the same in fact last week I did.

I think that was sensible. I hope it achieves the right result.

At that age, it’s definitely the right call to get involved.
