Woman driving past house waving

This morning, pretty early-9ish, I was getting DD’s breakfast ready and the dog was going nuts, barking like crazy. I went to see and there was a car slowly driving past, almost stopping outside, with a woman looking into the house. She kept staring in and driving past, each time she could see me come to stand at the window , she’d slow right down and start waving madly at me 😬I was a bit like 🤷🏻‍♀️and moved my dog away to stop her barking, she then drove off.
Any idea what that kind of situation can be about 🙈

I reckon she mistook you for someone else who lives nearby / same door number wrong road.

I often get knocks at the door from
middle-aged women who think I’m something to do with Scouts. I don’t think know why, or who they’re looking for, but they all have my exact address, I guess there must be a typo on some list. Sometimes they leave Scout posters on my doorstep. Once a cross woman wouldn’t take no for an answer for a few minutes and tried very hard to leave her child with me.

She's your DD coming back from the future and passing by to check up on you and your family home, before going off to save the world. 😁

She drove past, heard dog barking, wondered if everything was ok in your house. Felt worried, went back to check, saw you at window. Thought there was something odd about the way you were looking out... wondered if you needed help. Waved to signal to you, do you need help? İs unsure, keeps going back and forth.

İs now at home worrying that something is wrong, should she report to101...

Stuff like that makes me on edge. But I'm a worrier and v anxious person. I'd be worried someone was scoping my house out. Keep your doors locked :)

@CherrySocks I live in a cul de sac so she drove very slowly outside our house, looking in, started dog off barking. Almost parked outside but kept driving and must have turned at the bottom of our road and came back on the other side doing similar but waving when I stood by the window, think she then did this all once more, I didn’t keep complete track as went in the kitchen but came back to look when my dog was going nuts again

Once (before I had glasses) I looked opposite and noticed our opposite neighbours little girl in her bedroom window looking out.

so I did a wave - and got no response. Did another wave - a bit more enthusiastically - again nothing. so I walked off wondering if she hadn’t seen me or was she blanking me!

went back an hour later and she was still standing there….I paid a bit more attention and realised i’d been waving at a ‘girls world’ head on the windowsill… 🤦‍♀️
