What is this in my ear??

I know they probably aren't very good for you but I have one of those camera ear things to get wax out, to be fair it's been amazing and has stopped me having to get my ears syringed every 6 months.

Anyway... a few weeks ago I started to notice a tiny little white spot right inside my ear. Since then it's got bigger. It's not painful but seems to be hard when I touch it with the ear cleaner. It can also be slightly uncomfortable when touched with the cleaner but no other time. Managed to get a pic of it today. Is it something I need to see the Gp about or is it harmless?

I would say it is a spot.

Looks like a milia I'd leave it alone.

@TheCaddieisaBaddie I did look at that but it says that grows behind the ear drum whereas this is before the eardrum.

@Isthereanygoldenwonder it's a smartbud that I've got

Totally forgot about this but now ordered!! Arrives tomorrow 👏👏

Giant milia…get a pin in it if you can!

Also suggest you contact an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist online... ENT. It can be done for free.

Just ask whether it's safe to clear wax out of your ears regularly and whether it's safe to use any type of ear bud.

You'll get two short answers which you won't have to pay for...

No.
And No.

Actually you could just ask Google, even quicker probably... find the NHS site for people/patients by scrolling through all the sharks trying to flog dangerous ear-cleaning devices and read it carefully.

Ears are the doors to pretty direct entry to the brain, and some bits of the ear lie very close to the bone... not a good idea to introduce infection to either of those.

'Trust me, I' m a doctor'.

It's a milia
Stick a (sterilised) pin in it, then push it with a hair grip or paper clip
A hard ball will pop out
