to think I have messed up massively

periods 3 days late, felt pregnant partner thought I was pregnant.
took early test last week negative, took one yesterday FAINT line..was over excited and told partner then we told my mum I’m pregnant… this morning I took two tests negative……… shit, have I just announced I’m pregnant when I’m not.

It’s her mum. The OP might be upset herself, she’s allowed to talk to her mum about it. She doesn’t need to martyr herself by hiding what’s going on.

Well then isn’t that sad, that topics such as this are so taboo, that this is the OPs initial reaction, rather than allowing herself to feel disappointed/sad/whatever she feels?

Understand your excitement, and you only told your mum and partner so it's not like you announced it. Sounds like a potential chemical pregnancy unfortunately OP. Hope all works out for you soon.

Hopefully you are pregnant, you're going to feel a right tit if you aren't! Nobody wants until 12 weeks to tell their mum though.

No need for the OP to feel like a tit either way, she saw a positive result and told her mum and partner. Totally natural to tell close people who would help support her whatever happened.
