To be annoyed about Wet Wipes ban

I have never put them down the toilet, but because too many stupid people do, I will no longer be able to clean my bum hole properly!
And don't have a large bathroom so there's no space for a bidet, before anyone suggests it.

I suffer from severe bile acid malabsorption. I hear you. I don't usually use wipes though, but something softer would definitely make life easier.

Sometimes I poo so hard it literally bursts a blood vessel, and it bleeds 😧(been checked out) or the repeated wiping with dry loo roll makes my hole bleed too. Trust me, the pain at times like this the bloody (no pun intended) is the least of your goddamn worries.....

I know exactly what you mean! I do recommend using something softer. Re-usable wipes are so much nicer, I'm not in the UK so don't know any brands to recommend I'm afraid but I think some were mentioned upthread. A high cotton count soft towel post clean is my other recommendation, I'm sure the people in the towel department of my local department store know me now and must be wondering what I'm doing with all the expensive towels I buy!

Use washable wipes and think of the bloody planet!
Anyone using disposable anything needs a slap quite honestly.

really easy to say when your infant hasn’t got a chronic bowel issue and shat nine times today. Isn’t it.
🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
I can use my cloth nappies now, but until she was one we lived in a horrendously damp black mouldy flat and I couldn’t ever get them clean or dry

Move your 'guilty shop' online lol!😁Not sure I could cope with reusable though... and I have a bit of a towel addiction! It would break my heart to chop them up!

I love the absolute poetry of this then "a bum towel on a hook by the bog"

I'm always puzzled by the bum towel when visiting friends abroad ... don't like to ask but are you expected to share it after hygienically cleansing your nether region? 😱

Bum gun and bum jug ...

Are these the new penis beakers?

This is absolutely bonkers.

Use toilet paper and then shower daily like a normal person.

If you're making so much mess everytime you go to the toilet in the absence of a medical condition, you probably need to look at your diet.

Dry wiping just isn't the same. Once you're used to a genuinely clean crack you won't want to go back.

If you dry wipe and then hit the gym you'll often find a second dry wipe will leave the tissue a bit shitty again. Grim IMO.

Amazing new invention, wet flannel.
plenty at home.
can be carried in a plastic bag or sandwich box if out and about.

will save you money and might even help to save the planet and all the creatures who live on it.

Who knew ????

Gotta say I'm not too keen on carrying a shitty flannel around town with me in a plastic bag. 😂

What do you tell your mates if they get a bit nosy about what's in the bag?

Coco1379 · 13/04/2023 09:14

There is a new product called Wype, that you can use on toilet paper. Toilet paper doesn’t disintegrate with gentle wiping.

HumanBurrito · 07/04/2023 19:25

And I'll tell you something else for free: that wype stuff is egregious greenwashing shite. Does the same job as water but comes chock full of chemicals in an aluminium can. Extra energy for manufacturing, transport, and water treatment. They've got a nerve calling themselves the green alternative to wipes.

Did you miss this Coco1379?

Maple2023 · 13/04/2023 11:20

I wouldn't say full of chemicals Confused

Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Decyl Glucoside, Propanediol, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Bambusa Tuldoides (Bamboo) Leaf Extract, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Sodium Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid.

Moonmelodies · 13/04/2023 11:29

What isn't made out of chemicals?

newnamethanks · 13/04/2023 13:16

Never mind Wype. What's wrong with water and tissue?

dementedpixie · 13/04/2023 13:19

The toilet roll disintegrates when you put water on it

Body lotion on toilet roll works quite well
