Looks like a plane trail to me.

Mocky · 03/04/2023 20:46

How fast is it moving?

MissHoollie · 03/04/2023 20:46

Plane just rh colour is the way it is due to the time of day and the blue sky

Elieza · 03/04/2023 20:47

You can download flightradar and see. Not all are on it but it’s a good starting point.

FictionalCharacter · 03/04/2023 20:53

Meteor trails only seconds at best, so unless you have an incredible reaction speed and an equally incredible camera - plane!

That's def not a contrail

Toottooot · 03/04/2023 20:56

I’m in NE Scotland and saw 2 really dark trails like that crossing each other earlier.

SchoolTripDrama · 03/04/2023 20:59

It could be a dead satellite 📡 falling back to earth. They're slower than meteors, look darker than contrails (planes) and happens regularly. Once they reach the end of their useful life they fall to earth (or what's left of them)

MrsBargain · 03/04/2023 21:01

Oooo looks like majority think plane. It wasn't moving particularly fast I must admit

But there were no lights and I couldn't see anything on flight radar at the time

How fast is it moving?

About the same speed as a plane ✈️

MYSTERIOUSGIRLONLINE · 03/04/2023 21:16

It looks like a plane leaving it's mark! I see them endlessly living near an airport. Its actually therapeutic seeing the trail it leaves. I look up wondering what jammy buggers are going on holiday or coming back from one wishing it was me on the plane lol.
