Gambling adverts…

Does MN really need to accept work from these sorts of exploitative companies?

I am sure there was a mother in here a few years ago whose DH committed suicide due to being hounded and re-ensnared by these companies, despite him trying to leave the addiction behind?

What does everyone think?

I’m fed up of the sex toy ads but the gambling ones are even worse!

I was going to start my own thread but thought I’d see if there was an existing one.

Why do you allow gambling ads, MN? Lots of other organisations block them. Are you really that desperate for money?

I kicked a problem gambling addiction some years ago now. I do not ever visit gambling sites. I have to put up with gambling adverts when I watch shows on All 4, but otherwise I’m not troubled by them. Except on MN.

Luckily I am strong enough in my recovery that I am not triggered by these adverts, but I cannot fathom why you are ok with having them on your site.
