Annoyed with Amazon, tight fuckers

There was this thing called Amazon Smile

It donated a percentage of my spends to my son's special needs school.

Just clicked on to see how much I'd raised recently, and they'd removed it!

It says 'Thank you for using Amazon Smile, but this has now ended. Thanks and bye', basically

AIBU to think what tight fuckers? Sad His school use to her ££££ a year from parents simply using Amazon with no extra cost to them

If you just did a quick Google you would have found this information about why it was stopped and what it is doing instead

Yea, it went a few months ago. It was never a big fundraiser for our PTA, but it was a nice little bonus every few months. As I understand it the Smile Foundation will still be distributing funds to good causes, but in a more targeted way through grants etc, although I’ve not looked particularly deeply into it.

If that's the case then smaller places like special needs schools will be missing out.

How sad

I order supplies for work through The Giving Machine, which raises money for our local school, but Amazon no longer offer incentives on there either.
There are lots of other retailers who do though!

Also Easyfundraising.

Our school get a few percent of everything we spend in Sainsbury's. Not sure if the scheme it's through though, school sent out an email and DH set it up.

There’s another version called easyfundraising.org.uk, perhaps you could suggest to the school that they investigate that?
