I bought Olaplex bond maintenance shampoo and conditioner but it doesn’t do much

I’ve seen people with amazing hair so trying more expensive stuff but this seems as good as a cheap

what should I try next?

I use Cantu on my wavy but dry hair and it's really good, leaves it soft and healthy looking.

What sort of hair do you have? Products for curly/wavy/straight hair are so different.

I use L’Occitane almond oil shampoo and conditioner on my very thick slightly dry hair. It’s great.

I have thin, wavy (often frizzy) hair that is both dry and greasy - grrrr!!

I've tried SO MANY different shampoos and conditioners and spent SO MUCH money over the last 25 years (starting with those awful L'Oréal ones advertised by Kate Moss, pretending to be in the military - "I declare WAR- on bad hair!" - with my pocket money), but the absolute best?

Schwarzkopf gliss hair repair oil nutritive, both the nourish shampoo and nourish conditioner - the bottles are gold-coloured. They're not even expensive.

I also use the oil (similar to Frizz Ease's) to smoothe any remaining frizz

Surely it depends on your hair type and how much heat stress/hair dye/random setting crap you put your hair through? I use Faith in Nature, have done for years, makes my hair look amazing. Might not work for you though.
