Sore lump underneath eyelid

This has come up overnight. It hurts to close my eye or blink hard. Also hurts to press it.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a stye, you can feel they way before you see them come up,

Just stick to a warm compress to bring it out.

Could be a stye or a chiasmus(sp?). Either way, a warm compress and order some blephasol(sp?) on Amazon.

It's a chalazion - a blocked meibomian gland. A stye would be angry and more visible on the outside of your skin.
Gentle heat and massaging it can help, but they can be tricky to get rid of.

I had one a couple of months ago and panicked just a tad.
I spoke to the Gp on the phone and he said it wasn't a stye but the other thing posters have mentioned- I can't spell it either. I put a warm compress on it, I think they advised, not too hot and then forgot about it. Within a week it disappeared.
