To not look after mum after her laser eye surgery? Have agreed a lift but am terrified they will say she has to come to ours

long story but my mum makes me physically unwell when I’m around her due to lots of history she also really winds my daughter up and will think nothing of kicking off about nothing. I just can’t do it and feel sick at the thought of her staying with us

You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. Your mum can reap what she’s sown. Also have a crap mum so no qualms about saying that! No doubt you’ll get a variety of responses based on posters’ own relationships with their mothers, but you know deep down what’s right for you.
