Is the local housing allowance increasing in april ? I know the other elements of UC are increasing but can't find anything about the rent bit.

They really need upping by a considerable amount, but they won't.
Too many of the 'haves' complain that the 'have nots' aren't on the street or living in slums.

And, frankly, it's a fucking disgrace considering how much rents have increased.

You could try applying for a discretionary housing payment (DHP) from your local council to help out but I wouldn't expect much
