Well, I suspect that Suella's next brilliant idea will be that some refugees - women and children - can be let in, as long as they will work for people in exchange for food and lodging. No money - just food and lodging. It will give them the opportunity to enter the country - which is what they want, after all - and they'll be making a contribution. The beauty of it is that they don't even need any particular skills - anyone can learn to clean a firegrate or sweep stairs or scrub a floor. Hell, a ten-year-old could do it.

So as from August, we are introducing the Residential Integrated Domestic scheme, and we are already open to applications from anyone who'd like to take on a slave needy refugee.
