to ask, is this a positive covid test

Even though the test line is absent?

I've done 3 tests (not all from the same box) and all 3 have a strong line on the C but nothing on the T.

I know in the past these was counted an invalid tests but seems odd to have dodgy ones from different boxes so wondered if it's a new strain of covid?

I do have coldy symptoms and as I visit vulnerable adults, I want to be as sure as possible that I'm ok.

Anyone else had this?

C is the control T is the test that’s negative

Definitely negative.

Nope. Totally negative. Just like a pregnancy test only the test line counts. The control line just means its working. They can be really dark or not.
Although if you're full of cold staying away from vulnerable individuals might be prudent anyway.

Why were they counted as invalid tests? The control line was always a strong line when I was testing, you have no other lines showing so it is negative.

The “C” line shows that the test is working. If it doesn’t show this line the test is invalid.

If you have both a C line and a T line, the test is positive. A C line but no T line is negative.
