Where do you work from home?

Sorry my phone isn't allowing me to post in chat. Happy for this to be moved.

Can I ask where you work from home if you don't have a home office?
Currently I work at the dining table but it's starting to kill my back and I feel I want a better more productive space.

No spare rooms unfortunately. And can't afford to build a garden office.

Does anyone have any genius ideas?

I was WFH pre pandemic, and DH got perm WFH mid pandemic so we moved to a 3 bed and have an upstairs office each.

@Cosycover any work that involves working from home should be risk assessed by the company you work for, they still need to provide equipment for safe working. Ask them if they have any ability to provide proper office furniture to suit your space. I work for the NHS and they sent me out a new small corner desk and very comfy (Better than my old) office chair.

Despite having three desks in three different rooms, a huge dining room table and being the only one who works from home, I use one of the sofas in the sitting room.

All over the place.

DH is WFH full time but does shifts, he has a garden office but if he is not using it, I do.

I work a lot from the dining room as have a lovely view and it is sunny but also work in bedroom and sitting room and outside. I have a second portable monitor which is brilliant and laptop so we set up wherever we fancy.

I find it is good to move around if not using a traditional desk set up. I work 4 days total and WFH 2 days a week on average (usually non consecutive) so it’s easier to flex things.
